Thiago Silva gave an exclusive interview to France Football magazine and gave details of the departure of Paris Saint-Germain. The Brazilian defender spent eight years at the club and ended his run after the runner-up in the Champions League when PSG said it had no interest in the renewal.
To the prestigious magazine, Thiago Silva also showed discomfort with Leonardo, executive director of football in Paris, and responsible for informing him that there would be no renewal of the contract. According to the defender, who now defends Chelsea, there was no proper treatment for those who had a history like him in the team.
“It’s a situation that made me angry. I really didn’t like the way everything was handled. Even with the pandemic, things should have been done differently. I was in Brazil, in quarantine, when Leonardo called me to say that, because of the pandemic and the difficulties … No, first he asked me if I could continue for two more months to the Champions League finals. I told him, yes, so he replied that the club would not go beyond those two months. It would be two months and nothing more”, said the defender.
