The French Football Federation (FFF) and the French Professional League (FPL) announced on Friday (26) the new calendar for the 2020-2021 season. However, there are still two games on the current calendar that need to be played: the French Cup final and the French League Cup final.

During a virtual meeting, the two sports entities decided that football in the country will return on July 24, with the final of the French Cup, between Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Saint-Etienne, at the Estade de France. The final of the French League Cup, between PSG and Lyon, is scheduled for July 31, also at the Stade de France, at 8:45 pm.

Both clashes could receive fans. The French government authorized the participation of a maximum audience of 5,000 people in major events, stadiums, and operas. The release will start on July 11, ending on September 1. However, there is the possibility of relaxation for the second half of August.
