The resignation of Thomas Tuchel from Paris Saint-Germain continues to cause repercussions. In an interview with Nezmeti Sport, one of the coach’s assistants, the Hungarian Zsolt Low, commented on the atmosphere of tension behind the club. According to the assistant, Tuchel disagreed with sporting director Leonardo on a number of issues, such as, for example, the performance in the transfer market.
“They had different ideas in many areas, and the difference in perspective has grown over time. This led Leonardo to think about the future with a different command. Let’s be honest, that would not be sustainable in the long run. Better to have gone”, said Zsolt Low.
Despite recognizing the internal problems, the professional pointed out that Tuchel’s dismissal was difficult to understand. “We were surprised that on the 23rd of December, after the 4-0 victory over Strasbourg, the club’s sporting director, Leonardo, told us that he no longer had Thomas Tuchel. After facing considerable difficulties, he did something historic with PSG, when he qualified for the final of the last Champions League, went to the tournament’s round of 16 in December, while competing for the title in the French Championship. The decision is a bit incomprehensible”, he pointed out.
