After the early elimination of Juventus to Lyon in the Champions League, Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at the club has become a constant issue in the international media. And according to the “Foot Mercato” website, there were preliminary talks between Jorge Mendes, the player’s agent, and Leonardo, a former player and currently PSG sporting director, for a possible transfer to the Paris club. The French team does not confirm the information.

The publication claims that Ronaldo is ‘seriously questioning’ his future at the club after continental disappointments, as the player’s major goal is to win the Champions League. However, after going through Manchester United and Real Madrid, transfer options would be reduced, and Paris Saint-Germain would be a viable option.

Another point cited by the newspaper is the good relationship between Mendes and Leonardo – the businessman played an important role in the arrival of goalkeeper Keylor Navas at PSG. Discussions on the negotiation could gain a new chapter in Lisbon, where the ‘Super 8’ of the Champions League will take place – however, the conversations are expected to be long.
